Jesus' Precious Blood was shed on the Cross for our sins, gaining for us Salvation. It is the same Blood given to us in the Eucharist and it brings us life. Jesus himself told us that "he who eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day" (Jn 6:54). This rosary is designed to help foster devotion to the Precious Blood of Jesus. Garnet Red Druk Czech Glass represents Jesus' blood. Crystal Faceted Czech Glass represents the water that poured forth with Jesus' precious blood when his side was pierced by a lance. It also represents the water that is comingled with the wine at Mass before the Consecration. The rosary has an Ecce Homo centerpiece, depicting Jesus crowned with thorns and in agony, his blood flowing. The Sorrowful Mother Crucifix depicts Mary standing at Jesus's side, holding a chalice to his wound, catching the blood. In this crucifix, the message is clear. The blood that poured out from Jesus' side is the same blood that we receive at Mass and is offered for us continually. The rosary is completed with a depiction of the Eucharist that includes both bread and a chalice of wine. On the back of the medal is the Holy Spirit, who descends upon these gifts at the command of the priest to make them the Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity of Jesus Christ.
